Hey, I’m Guy, and I’ve been working with the Play Company since 2016, as the Operations Director.
I’m all about keeping the operation ship-shape, but the real adrenaline rush for me comes from overseeing the manufacturing of our soft play wonders, and guess what? We create these wonders right here in the heart of the UK, down in beautiful Devon.
When the workday winds down, I trade my spreadsheets for some quality time with our trusty office companion, Doug. And then there’s my secret passion: I’m a car enthusiast, so I can often be found fine-tuning a classic beauty or hitting the open road to explore new places.
So, whether it’s optimising our production or getting my hands dirty under the hood, I’m all about embracing life’s adventures.
I’m Adrian, and I’m the ‘old head’ around here – I head up our operations team down here in Devon; we’re the ones creating everything that ends up in your lovely new play space.
I love getting out on my bike, walking the dogs, picking up litter (seriously, I really do!), and enjoying a pint at the pub.
I’m Sam, and I’m the Director of Design and Engineering – I manage the team of in-house designers who create our bespoke softplay and Strike Arena renders.
I love getting technical, working things out and figuring out the finer details that ensure that every project we do is as perfect as possible.
When I’m off duty, I love a run around Torbay, watching sports and going to the pub.
Hey, I am Nick, a seasoned entrepreneur with businesses and their development.
I recently led the successful sale of Artemis Optical, a high-tech engineering firm, to Gooch & Housego for £9 million.
Prior to Artemis, I co-owned and managed Burts Potato Chips, yes the ones that we all know and love, overseeing its growth into a global player before its recent sale for £108 million.
I have experience, building and selling businesses so I work with The Play Company, using my knowledge and business experience to support its success.
Hey there, I’m Claire, and I’ve been part of The Play Company crew since February 2023. Within my role, I wear a couple of hats, working as a PA and a Sales Assistant.
My gig involves keeping Elliott on track with his day-to-day stuff and helping to keep the office running like a well-oiled machine. Plus, I’m the go-to person for any new sales queries that come our way.
When I’m not at work, you can catch me on the badminton court, busting a move at dancercise, or cruising around on my bike. And let’s not forget the walks with my favourite furry friend, Jackson the Cockapoo.
When it’s downtime, I’m all about quality family time, catching up with friends, and camping under the stars. But don’t get me wrong, I won’t say no to a fancy hotel and a chance to dress up – who would?
I’m Simon, the Sales Manager at the Play Company, looking after UK and Europe.
I’ve been in the world of play for nearly two decades, and I love it, so when I had the opportunity to join the guys here, I was over the moon.
My job is fantastic: I help our clients understand what they want, what will add the most value to their operation, and how they can get it.
When I’m not doing that, I can usually be found in the gym, or fishing when the weather allows.
I’m one of the only Play Company team members not based down in Devon, and being from “oop North” results in all sorts of assumptions about my existence, like the idea I live on Greggs alone, that the internet hasn’t reached where I live and that I have a pet whippet.
None of that is true, but one thing that is? It’s definitely a barmcake; no “baps” or “rolls” in sight!
Hey, I am Adam, the Design Manager for The Play Company.
I joined the ever-growing team after several years working for an inflatable company ( Airparx ). While I was there, I was head honcho for Trampoline Parks and Inflatable Parks so Soft Play Areas are not new to me. I was there as an essential team member, jumping on client calls, getting involved with site surveys, product development, and even building up pricing matrices, effectively turning massive ideas into real, fun and safe play spaces.
I love the challenges that indoor entertainment areas bring, whether working with restrictive spaces or being let free with my own ideas to bring clients’ visions to life. I love being a part of the whole journey from the initial idea to the final product!
When I am not working, I am a lover of moutain biking and getting outdoors into nature with my family, and if you didn’t think I was crazy enough already, I am the first certified Welsh bungy jump master, a qualification that I picked up on my travels to New Zealand however, a more interesting fact if you’ve met the team…I am actually taller than Design Director Sam Doubleday…..so, let that sit with you.
Hi, I’m Evelyn however most people call me Evie, and I am one of the Office Administrators at Play Company.
Before landing here, I was out and about in Field Sales at Thatchers Cider, where I spent my days building great relationships with customers and organising fun events like cider tastings and farm tours. It was a blast, and those skills come in handy now!
When I’m not at my desk, you’ll probably find me hanging out with my family, taking my dog Dora on adventures, or heading off camping in my roof tent. Travelling is my thing—I spent half of 2024 exploring Southeast Asia and India, and let’s say, the travel bug hasn’t gone anywhere.
Fun fact: I’m always up for an adventure, whether it’s trying something new, planning my next trip, or sharing a laugh over a pint of cider!
Hi, I’m Hannah, Office Administrator at Play Company International. Before moving to Devon in 2021, I worked at Network Rail in Bristol, where safety and organization were key. After relocating, I embraced my creative side as a Gallery Store Assistant for a local artist.
These roles taught me to balance precision and creativity, a mix that keeps things interesting and helps me thrive in the fast-paced world of creating Soft Play.
One of the best things about Devon? The beaches! Whether swimming in the sea or exploring coastal paths with my dog, Prince, I’m in my happy place.
Oh, and fun fact: I’ve spent 10 consecutive years backstage at one of Glastonbury’s biggest stages. Not to brag, but it’s been pretty epic!
I’m Danny, better known here at The Play Company as “Danadryl” or “Gav” – don’t ask why.
I’m the CAD guy here, which means turning sketches into proper plans, and working out what can go where and how to maximise the space.
When I’m not dragging and dropping, I’m a mechanics enthusiast, a sailor, a kayaker and a serious fan of pubs.
Hey I am Jess and I am a creative designer here at The Play Company.
I work alongside all the other design team, creating some of the affluent and interactive play areas and spaces you could find with active indoor play.
When I am not at work you can find me around Exeter with a pint in the sun ( when it’s around ) or around a theme park.
Hey I’m Emmeline but most people call me ‘Em’, and I am one of the many creative designers here.
I joined The Play Company in 2024 having previously designed and shown off interiors, so you might be able to tell if they look nicer when I do them 😉
I love to explore and see new places, having traveled the world I still find myself coming back to Devon which is where I am based now.
Hi, I’m Sam Moore, Creative Designer here at Play Company International!
I jumped straight into this role after studying product design at Cardiff Metropolitan University, keeping up that post-grad momentum to hit the ground running.
When I’m not creating here, you’ll find me catching waves or chilling at the beach (I’m a bit of a surf enthusiast).
Oh, and a fun fact— I’m also a proud owner of two goats! They keep me grounded, though I haven’t managed to convince the team to let them join a meeting just yet!
Hey, I’m Sinead, a Creative Designer here.
My journey started at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I studied interior design. I then also had the chance to do some work experience with the ( play company ) team before officially joining—though I’ll admit, I’ve done my fair share of cleaning jobs too!
When I’m not working on creative projects, I love spending time with family and friends. They keep me grounded, and we always find a way to have a laugh.
Speaking of laughs, here’s something funny about me: My friends have actually created a “Sinead Dictionary” full of sayings and expressions I tend to get just slightly wrong. It’s become a bit of an inside joke, and honestly, I think it’s pretty accurate!
Hi, I’m Luke, and I am one of the Creative Designers on the Play Company Team. My role involves creating creative, fun, and technical designs. Helping transform our clients indoor play concepts into practical, visually stunning solutions.
Before joining the team, I worked as a Technical Advisor, which gave me a solid foundation for the technical side of my work today.
When I’m not designing, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching sports, and sipping on a good cocktail – I’m always up for trying something new!
I’ve also played Rugby for Devon RFC and had the opportunity to share the pitch with a few of the current Exeter Chiefs players. It’s an experience I’ll always be proud of.
Hi, I am Jacob
I am one of the cad designers here at The Play Company.
I started here in 2023, coming from a background of designing ball bearings ( no joke ) to soft play was a massive step up utilising so many skills that I initially learned.
When I am not working you can find me playing DnD with friends or renovating my house in Plymouth.
Hey there! I’m Aiden, one of the Design Engineers on the team.
Before I found my way into engineering, I was a Kitchen Shift Leader at JD Wetherspoon, but during my university days, I dove deep into some pretty cool design projects, like creating an autonomous boat and working on rollercoaster safety features. Those experiences really fuelled my passion for design and problem-solving.
When I’m not tinkering with our soft play designs, you’ll find me either on the football pitch, watching a match, or getting lost in a video game…..basically anything that involves kicking a ball or pressing some buttons!
And here’s a fun little party trick: I can lick my elbow. Yep, it’s weird, but it always gets a laugh!
I’m Olly, and I am part of the Technical CAD Design Team based in Exeter. Before working here, I was a Design Engineer at Numatic.
Outside of work, I keep myself busy with some unique hobbies. I practice Muay Thai, which keeps me active and disciplined, and I’ve developed a rather unusual interest in photographing Wetherspoons carpets – yes, they’re far more interesting than you’d think!
Fun fact about me? I’ve never had a cup of tea. Ever. Not even once.
I’m excited to bring my creativity and energy to the team, and contribute to some amazing projects.
Hi, I’m Charlie!
I’m a CAD Engineer on the Design Team, and I plan to grow into a mechanical or structural engineering role. I aim to help the team tackle structural calculations for our frames and take on new challenges in the design process.
Before joining the team, I worked as a building services engineer at Gale & Snowden Architects. Prior to that, I designed electric motors at Dana TM4, where I honed my skills in structural calculations—experience that’s already proving invaluable in my current role.
Outside of work, I stay active by running, swimming, and hitting the gym. I also have a creative side and love painting.
Oh, and a fun fact about me? I’m a twin!
Hi, I am Esther, the graphic designer at The Play Company. I specialise in creating custom graphics for soft play spaces, collaborating closely with clients to match their brand’s colours, fonts, and style, ensuring a seamless fit in their play areas.
Beyond play frames, I design brochures, project timelines, and engaging social media graphics. My passion for creating bespoke artwork adds a unique touch to our family-friendly environment.
I’m fortunate to be the creative force that turns childhood dreams into lifelong memories.
Hey, I’d Dan, the graphics designer on the softplay team.
Previously a freelance graphic designer I am always involved with what I love; surface design, branding, literature, and typography. Whether I am crafting logos, fine-tuning layouts, or obsessing over the perfect font, I’m all about creating designs that stand out.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me cycling, running, and even horse riding—it’s fair to say I like keeping life moving.
Fun fact? I grew up in Essex, home to some amazing countryside and just a little bit of charm—kind of like my design style!
I’m the video guy, and I’m responsible for all our content here at the Play Company, and I love it.
I get to go here, there and everywhere, shooting videos, taking pictures and bringing our sites to life.
Oh, and I do plenty of chauffeuring our MD, Elliott.
Off the clock, I take street photography, dance lessons and walking in the beautiful Devon countryside.
If you see me snapping away some time, ask me about the time I went to France, just to buy a mobile phone…
Hey! I’m Iuliana Cosma, one of the project managers here at The Play Company.
I’ve taken quite the career journey to get here, from being a Senior Buyer in the semiconductor industry to a Production Planner in yacht manufacturing. Add in some years in hospitality, shipyard experience, and a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management and International Logistics, and you could say I’m more than ready for this role—plus, I like to think I’m pretty smart!
Outside of work, I’m usually playing chauffeur for my five-year-old, who honestly has a better social life than I do. When I’m not busy with that, I’m catching up with friends, getting my hands dirty in the garden, or just enjoying a rare moment of peace.
Fun fact: I might be a little bossy… but hey, I’m also known for being kind, so it balances out!
Hi, I’m Gary Isted, the Logistics and Fleet Coordinator here. Before joining the team, I spent 23 years at Royal Mail, juggling roles like Operations Manager and Fleet Manager. That experience gave me a solid foundation in logistics, and I’m excited to bring those skills to this role.
When I’m not coordinating fleets, you’ll find me cheering on the Exeter Chiefs Rugby team—I’m a bit of a fanatic, to be honest!
And here’s a fun tidbit: Back in the 90s, while I was traveling in Norway, a group of locals mistook me for the bass player from The Stone Roses. Funny enough, his name is also Gary. I decided to roll with it, and the next thing I knew, I was getting free beers and signing autographs! Definitely a story for the books.
I am Mason, the playful purchasing manager, but I also go by ‘Chips’ ( don’t ask me why )
When I am managing our procurement of products, my role is all about keeping things running smoothly. I work to source quality materials, manage supplier relationships so that we can deliver the most fun and quality play to our customers.
Outside of work, I’m an avid gamer and a huge fan of Twitch. Whether I’m catching up on the latest streams or diving into a new game myself, gaming is my go-to way to unwind and stay connected with friends and how I am part of a community.
Hi, I’m Richard, Purchasing Assistant to Mason. Before joining the team, I worked as a Software Developer with the Defence Tribe at the MET Office, but I’ve also had experience as a Purchasing Administrator. Organisation is my superpower—I’ve got it down to a science!
Outside of work, life is full-on with a wife, two kids, two cats and a dog. Free time is rare for me, but when I find some, I love coding games for my kids, diving into video games, or chipping away at a Fantasy/Sci-Fi novel series I’ve been writing for 17 years (yes, it’s a serious labour of love!).
A fun fact about me? My favourite animal is the echidna. Why? Because it’s nature’s ultimate oddball—a mammal that lays eggs. How cool is that?
Hi, I’m John, another one of the Warehouse Operatives on the team.
I joined after a tough break—literally. A back injury had me sidelined for a while, but now I’m back on my feet (and the forklift), ready to keep the warehouse running smoothly. Speaking of forklifts, I’m fully licensed, so if it needs lifting, I’m your go-to-guy!
Outside of work, I’m all about bikes—riding them, fixing them, and dreaming of my next two-wheeled adventure. Oh, and here’s a fun fact: I’ve never been clubbing, and I’m 25! But honestly, who needs a nightclub when you’ve got the open road and a bike?
Hey, I’m Martin, one of the Warehouse Operatives here at The Play Company.
Before joining the team, I worked with Amazon Delivery and gained plenty of experience with manual handling—so moving stuff efficiently and safely is second nature to me.
When I’m not keeping things moving in the warehouse, you’ll probably find me practicing Jiu-Jitsu or sharing a little about my Slovakian roots (yes, I make an excellent Slovak tour guide if you’re ever curious!). Whether it’s grappling on the mat or handling heavy loads at work, I’m always ready for a challenge.
Hey, I am Davina and I am the adventure seeking and fun loving Maintenance Coordinator.
My role is to ensure all the enquires that come in needing maintenance or a good clean are handled and distributed to the guys so they can serve as many people as possible.
When I am not working on the maintenance team, you can find me helping out at Trade Shows, meeting and greeting new or existing clients and making sure they know who we are and what we do so well.
I love this role so much and I love all the adventures I get to go on with the wider team.
When I am not working I am spending time with the family or thrill-seeking in another part of the world. I’ve seen so many beautiful places but there are always more I would LOVE to see!
Would you belive me if I told you I was one of the first Play Company Installers and Maintenance members? Well, it’s true.
Hey, I am Sam Chapman and I’ve been with the company since day one.
I’ve seen the company grow and I love being a part of the growing team.
When I am not fixing and repairing well-loved frames, you can find me around Plymouth with my family or out enjoying a nice cold pint.
Hey I am Jake, I have been with The Play Company since late 2023, I previously worked as a Payroll Administrator at Newcross Healthcare.
My role now involves managing invoices, overseeing payroll, and implementing new company processes, which I find both fun and challenging.
Outside of work, I cherish time with my loved ones, stay active with the gym and football, and hold a background as a qualified engineer.
Hi, I am Jack, but most people call me practically perfect, ha! and I have been with The Play Company since 2018 my role at The Play Company is The cutting and sewing manager
I run the cutting and sewing department and within this, I enjoy challenges and changes which make every day different.
My hobbies include coffee and desserts. Outside of work, I am a newly qualified dance fitness instructor.
Before switching to fashion design and manufacturing, I was an award-winning disco freestyle dance champion.
Woof woof Woof woof, woof.
