You’ll find a whole range of team members here, from designers to installers, and together we design, install and maintain play equipment, areas and centres all over the world.

Elliott Myatt
Chief Executive Officer

I’m Elliott, and I’m the MD here at the Play Company – I oversee the whole operation of the business, from the first contact to the final installation.

I love getting out on the road, meeting new people and helping to create incredible play spaces.

When my nose is away from the grindstone, I love going on holiday, exploring Devon, spending time with my partner and being squashed on the rugby pitch.

Guy Heynes
Chief Operating Officer

Hey, I’m Guy, and I’ve been working with the Play Company since 2016, as the Operations Director.

I’m all about keeping the operation ship-shape, but the real adrenaline rush for me comes from overseeing the manufacturing of our soft play wonders, and guess what? We create these wonders right here in the heart of the UK, down in beautiful Devon.

When the workday winds down, I trade my spreadsheets for some quality time with our trusty office companion, Doug. And then there’s my secret passion: I’m a car enthusiast, so I can often be found fine-tuning a classic beauty or hitting the open road to explore new places.

So, whether it’s optimising our production or getting my hands dirty under the hood, I’m all about embracing life’s adventures.

Adrian Myatt
Health & Safety Director

I’m Adrian, and I’m the ‘old head’ around here – I head up our operations team down here in Devon; we’re the ones creating everything that ends up in your lovely new play space.

I love getting out on my bike, walking the dogs, picking up litter (seriously, I really do!), and enjoying a pint at the pub.

Claire Garman
PA & Sales Assistant

Hey there, I’m Claire, and I’ve been part of The Play Company crew since February 2023. Within my role, I wear a couple of hats, working as a PA and a Sales Assistant.

My gig involves keeping Elliott on track with his day-to-day stuff and helping to keep the office running like a well-oiled machine. Plus, I’m the go-to person for any new sales queries that come our way.

When I’m not at work, you can catch me on the badminton court, busting a move at dancercise, or cruising around on my bike. And let’s not forget the walks with my favourite furry friend, Jackson the Cockapoo.

When it’s downtime, I’m all about quality family time, catching up with friends, and camping under the stars. But don’t get me wrong, I won’t say no to a fancy hotel and a chance to dress up – who would?

Sam Doubleday
Director of Design and Manufacturing

I’m Sam, and I’m the Director of Design and Manufacturing – I manage the team of inhouse designers who create our bespoke soft play and Strike Arena renders.

I love getting technical, working things out and figuring out the finer details that ensure that every project we do is as perfect as possible.

When I’m off duty, I love a run around Torbay, watching sports and going to the pub.

Fleur Davies
Project Manager

I’m Fleur, and I head Projects – I manage our client’s expectations whilst also managing logistics between shipping the product from our unit in Kingsbridge to the site.

Senior CAD Designer

I’m Jurate, which I bet you don’t know how to pronounce.  It’s actually “u-ra-tee”, but in truth, I’ll take anything.

I’m the senior creative designer here, and my main role is creating new soft play designs to delight our customers.

I love being creative, playing with space and ensuring that we maximise the value of every single project to help our clients achieve their objectives.

Outside of work, I swim, draw and travel.  Oh and cook.  

My specialist skill?  Tying shoelaces faster than you’d believe.

Samuel Whittington
Videographer & Photographer

I’m the video guy, and I’m responsible for all our content here at the Play Company, and I love it.

I get to go here, there and everywhere, shooting videos, taking pictures and bringing our sites to life.

Oh, and I do plenty of chauffeuring our MD, Elliott.

Off the clock, I take street photography, dance lessons and walking in the beautiful Devon countryside.

If you see me snapping away some time, ask me about the time I went to France, just to buy a mobile phone…

Danny McAlister
CAD Designer

I’m Danny, better known here at The Play Company as “Danadryl” or “Gav” – don’t ask why.

I’m the CAD guy here, which means turning sketches into proper plans, and working out what can go where and how to maximise the space.

When I’m not dragging and dropping, I’m a mechanics enthusiast, a sailor, a kayaker and a serious fan of pubs.

Esther Jones
Graphic Designer

Hi, I am Esther, the graphic designer at The Play Company. I specialise in creating custom graphics for soft play spaces, collaborating closely with clients to match their brand’s colours, fonts, and style, ensuring a seamless fit in their play areas.

Beyond play frames, I design brochures, project timelines, and engaging social media graphics. My passion for creating bespoke artwork adds a unique touch to our family-friendly environment.

I’m fortunate to be the creative force that turns childhood dreams into lifelong memories.

Jacob Pearce
CAD Designer

Hi, I am Jacob

I am one of the cad designers here at The Play Company.

I started here in 2023, coming from a background of designing ball bearings ( no joke ) to soft play was a massive step up utilising so many skills that I initially learned.

When I am not working you can find me playing DnD with friends or renovating my house in Plymouth.

Craig Ferris
CAD Designer

Hi, I am Craig.

I am one of the cad designers here at The Play Company.

I started here in 2023, moving from my hometown of Kent to Totnes to pursue a career in designing playframes.

Outside of work you can find me learning to drive, spending time with my girlfriend and occasionally gaming.

Cam Thorns
Manufacturing Engineer

Hey, I am Cameron but I usually go by Cam

I started my journey into the Soft Play world in 2024 from previously being a production engineer.

In my spare time, I can be found playing the drums or mountain biking around the back lanes in Devon.

Jess

Hey I am Jess and I am a creative designer here at The Play Company.

I work alongside all the other design team, creating some of the affluent and interactive play areas and spaces you could find with active indoor play.

When I am not at work you can find me around Exeter with a pint in the sun ( when it’s around ) or around a theme park.

Emmeline
Creative Designers

Hey I’m Emmeline but most people call me ‘Em’, and I am one of the many creative designers here.

I joined The Play Company in 2024 having previously designed and shown off interiors, so you might be able to tell if they look nicer when I do them 😉 

I love to explore and see new places, having traveled the world I still find myself coming back to Devon which is where I am based now.

Meet Mike, our dynamic Project Coordinator!

With experience in project management, process improvement, business development, and sales, Mike is ready to make an impact by optimizing processes and expanding into project management.

When he’s not at work, you’ll find him chasing adventure, whether it’s in the water surfing, enjoying sports like rugby and Formula 1, or exploring beautiful Devon. Born in Turkey and well-traveled, Mike brings a world of experience to our team

Sam Chapman

Would you belive me if I told you I was one of the first Play Company Installers and Maintenance members? Well, it’s true.

Hey, I am Sam Chapman and I’ve been with the company since day one.

I’ve seen the company grow and I love being a part of the growing team.

When I am not fixing and repairing well-loved frames, you can find me around Plymouth with my family or out enjoying a nice cold pint.

Hi, I am Seb and I am part of the Maintenance Team

At heart I love to take things apart and put them back together, which in this role is entirely what I do ( whilst making everything look nice )

When I am not at work, you can find me with family, traveling or at the pub.

Jake Whittaker
Accounts Assistant

Hey I am Jake, I have been with The Play Company since late 2023, I previously worked as a Payroll Administrator at Newcross Healthcare.

My role now involves managing invoices, overseeing payroll, and implementing new company processes, which I find both fun and challenging.

Outside of work, I cherish time with my loved ones, stay active with the gym and football, and hold a background as a qualified engineer.

Jack Morris
Sewing Manager

Hi, I am Jack, but most people call me practically perfect, ha! and I have been with The Play Company since 2018 my role at The Play Company is The cutting and sewing manager

I run the cutting and sewing department and within this, I enjoy challenges and changes which make every day different.

My hobbies include coffee and desserts. Outside of work, I am a newly qualified dance fitness instructor.

Before switching to fashion design and manufacturing, I was an award-winning disco freestyle dance champion.
