Freedog is an indoor urban activity entertainment centre, based in Swindon, building its reputation as a go-to destination for families, friends and thrill-seekers, with its wide array of appeal from bouldering walls, a clip and climb area and a plethora of trampoline space to keep children active.
Trampolines were their bread and butter, and over several years they became a fixture in the Swindon community.
But what Freedog understand is that you can’t stand still – as the entertainment industry evolves, and more competitors come into the market, they knew it was time to think through their proposition and ensure its continued appeal for decades to come.
Freedog’s old trampoline beds had served them well, but they were no longer meeting the demands of a modern audience seeking interactive and immersive entertainment.
The challenge was to reinvent their space, creating an environment that encouraged active play, creativity, and friendly competition, while still retaining the Freedog feel and brand.
Freedog wanted to retain their existing customer base while also attracting new visitors, including families with young children and groups looking for unique team-building activities.
The inclusion of the new installation would cover existing clients, whilst also opening their doors to corporate parties. Yes, that’s right, our equipment isn’t just for kids!
One major challenge for us was space – even following the removal of the trampolines, we didn’t have much to play with, but that’s where soft play comes into its own: because you can build upwards, the sky is the limit (not literally!)
To address Freedog’s challenge, our team of experienced designers worked closely with Freedog’s owners.
Together, we devised a plan that would transform Freedog’s trampoline park into an interactive wonderland. We removed the old trampoline beds, creating space for five new captivating soft play structures:
Ninja Run: A dynamic obstacle course that challenges participants to navigate through a series of tunnels, climb walls, and conquer various obstacles, whilst racing an opponent on a parallel course.
Interactive Football Pitch: A state-of-the-art digital football experience that merges physical play with cutting-edge technology, allowing visitors to test their football skills in a whole new way whilst also doubling up as a netball / basketball area.
Strike Arena: A thrilling arena where players can engage in friendly competition, racing against one another to hit coloured pods over a time limit to set high scores either as teams or individually.
Trailblazer: A visually striking and distinctive high-tech climbing feature, engaging up to 8 players at a time with illuminated interactive grips, customizable graphics, and multi-colored light-up hand grips, perfect for ages 5 to adult and promoting social engagement.
Power Tower: A challenging vertical climb through bungees and giant balls to reach the top for a fun slide down.
Our team meticulously designed, manufactured and installed these structures, ensuring that they met the highest safety standards while providing an unparalleled level of engagement and entertainment.
The transformation of Freedog’s space was nothing short of remarkable. The new interactive soft play structures have breathed new life into the facility, captivating visitors of all ages.
